IMO... Alot of good things CAN come from ebay. ON the other hand there's alot of S**t on ebay too. I personally don't trust ebay products unless it has a name brand and looks legit. I would never buy an" ebay intercooler" again unless it had a name behind it. I refuse to put my car on the line JUST to save a couple bucks. BUT some of those products could work really well, in that case it worked out for you. what do you guys think?

A couple of bucks? Saving 600+ is a lot more than a couple, the ebay intercooler is a good buy.

I agree that's an a.p. right there, and it probably is one of the better ebay products/intercoolers.
but, is it worth taking the chance of it being "cheap" and screwing up your car?

How would it screw up your car? Your argument is not making sense...

Ebay TMIC ftw. Dont bother with the STI tmic. This has been covered. If you can get both for the same price, do the ebay tmic for sure.

STI is just a larger version of the same stock junk, EBAY is much better.

I'm not trying to put up an argument. I have seen and heard of guys getting crappy intercoolers that they got off of ebay. These ones had fitment issues, were cheaply made, would not hold boost, just not a good intercooler. I'm not saying that these ones are the same, and won't work, all I'm saying is BE CAREFUL! I hate seeing/hearing about people that get screwed.

I don't think it's very cool being attacked like that man. I'm not trying to start an argument.

I'll definately buy my next cooler off from ebay. If it's quality is an issue, pressure test it for leaks before installing it. Most, if not all people that I've talked to that have them like them. The worst thing that I've heard about them is fitment is shitty sometimes. But, that's it.

Roy, as for personal attacks, I don't think he's attacking you, he just wants you to step up your end of the debate... If I had an STi, I'd probably want to go name brand as well though, I do see where you're coming from.

This is just what I would do. I don't mean to cause drama. Sorry I took it personally.

Would the average person have it pressure tested? maybe, maybe not. Like I said there are ALOT of awesomething that you can get for a steal off ebay. Then again, there are alot of things where it's like they stole your money from you. I'm just trying to look out for my WRX brothas!

I totally agree with you. I'll spend the extra $600 for a part that I know is a quality part. I'm not just going to throw some half-assed clone on my car. I may buy a used exhaust or something off eBay, but it's not happening with something serious like an intercooler.
