drive-by-wire and throttle cables

so i did alot of searching here and in nasioc about the how they compare with each other on our cars. so it looks like they started the drive-by-wire system in 06' for the wrx and the sti(someone can correct me if im wrong). so i read in some threads in nasioc and other links and basically both the 06 and the 07s have a dead spot in the gas pedal. (some described it as giving a slight amount of gas and nothing happened and would stall their car sometimes when taking off slowly). some people said it can be adjusted with enginuity and through tuning.

so my big question is for drivers that had both the types of throttle systems, is how big is the difference and the response, and if u did have a problem have u tried to fix it through tuning yet?

here's some of the links i found on this subject:

Drive by wire started with the 04' STi,Legacy GT and i think the Forester XL.An ECU recalibration can help.It can be tuned out.

Homebrewed tuned with Opensource!

metroscub is more helpful than not
I tuned my "deadspot out" pretty well, I like the way it feels now as opposed to my wife's(04 WRX), it is a lot more responsive feeling.

Wow, it can turn well too?

In the notes for Cobb maps it says that throttle parameters are changed to help the feel of the drive-by-wire. I didn't notice a big difference when I flashed, but I've never felt or had any problems with it.

does anybody who tuned this out with enginuity mind posting a screenshot of their change? It's just changing the Throttle % table under the 'Misc' section, right?
