Downpipe/ Stage 2

Ok, so my 07 wrx came with the SPT intake, exhaust and heat shield. I've been looking around the forums and it almost seems that if i get a downpipe i can get a Cobb AP Stage 2. Is this true? Or would I need the whole TBE. If all i need is a downpipe which would be most compatible with the SPT exhaust?

yes, you have a "stage 1" car now and if you got a downpipe you would have a "stage 2" car to flash with the cobb AP.

Nearly any downpipe works fine with the SPT exhaust. It's a bosal exhaust that connects to stock so you'd be hard pressed to find a decent downpipe that DIDN'T work.

this may be a dumb question, but is there only one accessport? and you flash different maps? I was under the impression there were 2 accessports a stage one and a stage two.

there are two accessports but they are unrelated to the stages. There is an older accessport and a newer one (v2.0). Both flash all the different stages.
