downpipe question

I just got my 07 wrx not long ago. i installed a cat back ehaust (hks hi-power) not so long ago. i was wondering if i cobb downpipe would fit with the hks cat back? the piping for the hks is 75mm and cobb DP is also 3". Also what are some good UP's for my car? Thanx.

Yeah you should have no fitment issues with that. Don't waste your time or money on an aftermarket UP. The 06+ 's have catless UP's.

haha, that's the exact combo I have on my 07 WRX: Cobb catted dp + HKS Hi-Power Carbon-Ti cat back. They work very well together using the flat 3" 2 bolt gasket that should have come with the cat back. Don't use the factory donut style gasket since it's not really made to work with the flat connection on the HKS cat back. I would also recommend getting a new gasket for between the turbo and downpipe. It's not terribly expensive and generally, it's just a good idea to use new gaskets. I'm sure some people will argue that you don't need it, but I got one since it's layered and it crushes when you torque it. I didn't want to have to go in there twice if I discovered an exhaust leak.

Garage
ideally you should re-tune it. Running around a little with it in that condition won't hurt anything though.

Yeah, you should be good running around for now. If it were me, I would avoid romping on it everywhere. I dont think that it would hurt anything though. You should get a tune or reflash it ASAP so that you can enjoy all of the power that you have freed up.
