Downpipe?

Does it matter what downpipe I use with my Cobb ots stage 2 map. I bought a catted helix downpipe and was wondering if it's cool to use even if it's not a Cobb product?
Thanks for the help

Yep, it's cool. Cobb's Stage 2 off the shelf maps are generic enough that just about any bellmouth style aftermarket downpipe will be compatible with it. Bolt the downpipe on using fresh gaskets, reflash your ecu, and go have fun!

Garage
Cobb's OTS maps are specifically made for catted downpipes. They are close enough to work. I still recommend a custom tune.

True... can't argue with a custom tune.

Think I'm gonna stick with the off the shelf map for a little since the downpipe is the only mod I'll be having for a little bit. What would be the next mod after
Downpipe?

Start collecting/installing parts that will set you up for a turbo upgrade. An aftermarket fuel pump, tmic, and cat back can be installed any time. Once you install an aftermarket turbo, injectors, ebcs, and some other goodies, you'll need a tune immediately.

My buddy either has a 16g or 20g for sale he has to look and see which one he still has. Once I get that I'll get bigger injectors and fuel pump then off for a tune. Oh and a bigger front mount.

Haha, good catch. I have a 20G and I'm still using a top mount... although, it's borderline too small.
