your friend knows nothing. what is a tor converter?

a turbo back increases flow which will aid the turbo in spooling so you will hit boost sooner. in no way does it make you slower, they increase power across the board.

That exhaust is extremely expensive for an eBay exhaust. They sell the same exhaust for much cheaper.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WRX-S...spagenameZWDVW

Heres one for example. $270+$55shipping = $325 shipped.

I payed $300 shipped for mine, had it on for nearly 2 years, no problems.

I couldn't stand the silencer. Its so restrictive and if you go WOT, it whistles. You aren't hurting anything with the uppipe not it.

what does the muffler look installed. does anyone have pictures of it installed (a rear bumper pic). I bought my 02 wrx used and it had a Magnaflow cbe, I think it looks funny. But does the muffler come out straight or at an angle. And what are the expected HP gains with this set up.

It looks like from the pics that it's angled out like the hks hi-power but that's just my two cents.

Heres a nice pic of what an eBay exhaust looks like. Ive made sound clips as well, just cant find them, and my digital camera doesnt do the exhaust any justice...

This was my first mod to the car, the exhaust is still nice and shiny

edit: robelia1: The downpipe is not catted. Yes you can run the exhaust without EM. On the 2.5 block some people have complain about boost creep, but, the AP should help. I know a few people that just run a TBE and no EM on 06+ and they are fine.

If its only going to be a week till you get your AP I would just wait to be on the safe side. But some people have run TBE without EM and had no problem.

It seems to be even more of a problem on the 2.5L engine WRXs. If you want the sound you can just put the CBE on. Then when the AP comes put the DP on and immediately flash stage 2 and shouldnt have a worry after tha.

This ebay catback will not bolt up to the stock downpipe.

Its all or nothing. If I were you, I would install it now and get it over with.
