Custom Cold air intake from fender/bumper?

I was just thinking the other day, making an intake tube that ran from the air box inlet, and took air from the opeing in the fender. What are your guys thoughts on this? It would be drawing air directly from the outside, it may not make to much of a difference but it would be drawing colder air in.

I'm not sure how much it will help but give her a try.. Take your time and do a nice job on it and let us all know....
