which is a better set up for an06 WRX:
cobb tuning stage II (cobb tbe with AP stage 2 93 octane setting) or...
cobb tuning stage II AP (93 octane) with perrin 3" cat back and 3" dp (if the perrin set up is better then cobb setup)
Now i know its practically the same but ive heard that cobb isnt that good (except for the AP which is amazing) and i have heard they are great... is perrin's exhaust better? any other exhaust set ups are welcome i wanna do turbo back....along with other EM set ups just wanna make the best power with the best decision of the 2...thanks
All TBE are pretty much the same for the quality brand ones. Weather you go with Cobb, Helix, Perrin, or Invidia for a TBE your going to get pretty much the same result HP wise. To get the 'best' power you will need a good protune with the engine managment you choose
Way do you think the Cobb tbe is bad? it made 280 plus with the stage 2? i personally like the helix DP and the prodrive muffler. quiet yet good flowing.

ive seen someone make 308tq on this forum i forget who but the TBE and cobb stage 2 AP with a pro tune...how do you tune with the AP, if it has saved maps
Yea a PRO TUNE does amazing things to your car... !Thumbs Up
Sadly I go through tons of fuel though oorme: ity:
1st few dyno runs only produced high 290s. then about 3-4 pulls later we got a good number for a race map. I do have a DAILY map....just not as good as the race map
Daily maps only like 290ish tq "BETTER GAS MILEAGE!!"
If you get Pro-Tuned, ask them NOT to tune for FULL TORQUE.. An engine is more prone to blow up when tuned for full torque.. Also it will suck up fuel as when tuning for full tq a high fuel, high timing map is required to stop knock.. This will produce massive tq and be a faster car, but not as safe for longevity... It will also create a lot of "Carbone" build up on your bumper..

Ive put about 2500 miles on my subie running Cobb stage 2 with a perrin DP & drop in filter only. Ive yet to get the rest of the exhaust. no spike, no boost creep nothing but fun. Im sure even though its never seen a dyno Im making at least the quoted 285 HP
