Boost Spike

I dont know what i experianced but what i think it is is boost spike i was driving the other night and beating on the car a lil.. When i got on the highway a little later on i was in 5th gear and decided to hit the gas and pick up the speed well when i did that for baout 2 seconds a loud pop went off it felt like my engine cut out and my check engine light went on.. not i just put a downpipe on and i do not have a tune i belive this is the problem what does everyone else think..

you need to tune it. that could have been a boost spike though, also, is your downpipe divorced or bellmouth. I might suggest that you get a tactrix cable or an ap ver 2 for tuning, or at least get a tactrix cable to read your CEL errors, a wideband O2 sensor would be a good idea as well

Wow, it can turn well too?
