How much power are you looking for. If your just looking for a little more i would suggest a vf39 off of an sti. It can be had for fairly cheap and will work with your stock injectors.

Knowing what your power or number goal is will help alot. Email some of the companies that sell turbos, like blouch or slowboy, letting them know what your goal is and they can also help you out.

You would be happy with a 18G and it wouldn't take too much in the way of supporting mods to make that happen on an 07

Yeah it seems like an 18G is pretty good for the 2.5's, from what I've read.

The 18G (with supporting mods and a tune) will put a smile on your face

Garage
The 20G is a good choice for the 2.5L It's not that laggy thanks to the larger displacement. The 18G is also a fine choice and would be responsive to "real world" driving conditions.

if I had an EJ25 I'd be looking at a TD05-18G if I wanted something medium or a TD06-20G if I wanted something powerful and didn't mind a slightly longer spool

04 STi 16G powered lagless fun

I was just thinking about this today. If i swapped my turbo out for one off an 07 Sti.. Would i still be able to run my Cobb AP stage 2? or would i have to get a pro tune and upgrade my fuel pump and injectors?

I believe that is a Stage 3 map to Cobb. Your injectors should be ok, but Im not sure about the pump.

and according to Cobbs map notes, for the 18g and VF39, it call for a relatively stock vehcile with Sti i/c or equivilant and TBE, stock air box.

Well with an 18G you will also need some injectors and a fuel pump. But they also say you can run their SRI.
