Is a 44mm EWG louder than a 38mm?

like the title says, just wondering as i am in the market and am not sure which one i want to get

44 will be louder because it is bigger and allow better boost control.

Better boost control, granted you will not see as much gains with the stock turbo as you would with a bigger one.

The 38 has a higher pitched sound (same exhaust exiting a smaller diameter opening). It's harsher sounding in my opinion. I have a 44mm on my 20g and I would never go back to an internal wastegate.

Also, the 38mm is more likely to leak because it is a gasket flange vs the v band flange of the 44mm.
