240hp with 2006 wrx?

i was wondering if i could hit 240 hp with a pro dyno tune with just my k&n drop in filter, invidia downpipe, apexi gt spec exhaust and im runnin the xpt map. so im hopin any 2006-2007 wrx owners can help me out. if not what other mods would be recommeded to hit that goal? iam on a little bit of a budget so im not tryin to buy anything too expensive right now. thanks in advance

well, on a high reading dyno and a little bit of luck, yes. On a low reading dyno, no.

no you cant,i believe its very hard to reach that power level w/o swapping for any turbo thats larger.to come close you would atleast need a huge intercooler, ypipe tubes,meth-inj,crank pulley, maybe even a intake as long as you can get a good tune.

I do not agree with that at all. that sounds like overkill to me(though granted paul, you are right, that will get you there). 240awhp is not a large number at all IMO, I know for a fact that you could pull 240 awhp with the setup(after a great tune, focus on the word great, I mean it is very possible but it is going to take a talented tuner to make your car those numbers EFFICIENTLY)

I would probably add a walbro fuel pump to the mix(100 bux....www.scoobytuner.com)

FMIC are great, but can be a pain to tune with....

also, take note that the xpt map you are using will not be in use after a pro tune, I mean, the base might still be there, but it will be extremely tweaked and turned upside down.

Wow, it can turn well too?

but ken, he has an 06, so he does not need the u/p to be replaced, it is unrestricted anyhow, I assumed the gt spec exhaust was a CBE setup, so that coupled with the invidia DP would be a tbe essentially.

You are right. I missed where he listed his mods. I clicked on his car in his profile and everything is stock in there.

Get a good tune and you will hit 240 whp easily. It isn't about the HP though it is the TQ that you want. I would rather have 100 WHP and 400 TQ any day of the week.

you wouldn't want to drive that car. With that much torque and so little HP, it would have a very very low curve. It'd drive like shit and you'd spend more time shifting than accelerating.

i think he would hit that very easy, i have an 03 and i just got back from chicago and i dyno out at 256lb ft tq, and 240 hp and i had a pro tune with TBE and uppipe crank pulley and AEM intake on it, and AEM wideband, i really thought i could of made a little more out of it but i guess not, do those numbers sound right to you guys????

numbers mean nothing unless you tell us what kind of dyno you are using. that car would dyno around 210- 215 awhp on our dyno, Its a Mustang. a stock STI dose around 220.
