I'm confused? You want a stock replacement but are asking about a VF?

Also, make your own thread please.

Maybe his referring to stock is saying a genuine subaru factory part, not the stocker his came with, a stocker from anotha mutha.

Bought a helix catted downpipe was wondering what adapter I'd need
To connect 3 inch downpipe to stock catback? Is stock catback 2.5?
Thanks

Yes it is. I think Magnaflow makes an adapter/flange for the 3" to 2.5"

Is the little hanger thingy on the downpipe really needed. The one I bought is broke off I can always weld something on but if I don't need to I'm not gonna.

Hangers are a good idea. You referring to the one at the bottom of the DP?

you will tell when it's on the car if it swings all over the place.

Installed the helix catted downpipe and have been hearing a rattle from underneath while driving. 1st thing I think it might be is my heat shield. Well I took it off and couldn't get the old one back on so ordered a grimmspeed one do everything is just hanging that a possibility from where the sound is coming from. 2nd is that the transmission bracket isn't on the new downpipe. Not too sure if that's what the problem is. Tommorow going to install news heatshield and check to see if it makes a difference. Anybody have an idea on what else it could be ?

Check the shielding around the DP (enginebay) and mid-pipe area.

Problem solved it was the heatshield under the turbo put the grimmspeed one on and no noise now. Also must say the Perrin top mount looks very nice under the hood
