It is all personal preference, how much power are you looking for? After taking a ride in my friends 35R 1G GSX, i know what im getting! His car is sick, once that turbo spools, it throws you back in your seat.

Ohh yea it does.. However for it run properly you really need a lot of suporting mods which = $$$$$$$$$$.. Trust me I know.. But MAN does that thing spool....

Then I would say the stock location gt30r setup.. It is a little bigger then the 06 which will give you more more to grow latter on should you be able to afford it. It will also give you a little better MPG.. A larger turbo will not spool as soon and thus you will be in boost less often in your daily commute so your mpg will go up.. I was getting 31mpg with my GT35r putting down 425whp on the high way at 80mph..

So i looked up all the main components i need, this does not include all the sensors and supporting PCM modules, injectors etc...
STi Shortblock- 1,600
STi Type RA gearset- 1,500
Hyperflow TMIC- 900
Deadbolt TD05 18g- 1300
Radiator- 500

So with all supporting modules, fuel components, and a tune, i think it will come out to about 7000 all together, im starting to think i should just save up for an STi, but im basing it on what condition everything else will be at, interior suspension, body, etc...

What sensors??
Granted it's not a bad idea to change the Crank and Cam sensors (about 150 total) but you don't have too..

The block is 1600
Gasket kit is 200 (I got mine cheaper)

anything you want since you have to get a custom tune. Just remember you are reusing the timing and heads off of the 2.0.

I'm glad all 06+ cars have the AVACS...less headaches. But of course we come with 2.5s as well.
