I am in the process of selling my stock TD04, stock intercooler, turbo back, uppipe, turbo inlet pipe, injectors, fuel pump, amongst misc other parts but I have a customer who is interested in purchasing these items for his 2007 2.5i. I did not know if they would fit with no problems (direct bolt on) so any help from you guys would be appreciated. I dont know much about the naturally aspirated 2.5. I searched for the answer for a little bit but I don't have alot of time right now because I'm in school/working and biochemistry is pretty much my life. If anyone can answer this please pm me so I can check it when I have time. Thanks. JD
Its really no recommended to even try and turbo the N/A motors, you might try and warn them of that first off. Just not the motor to do it with. Its not just a direct bolt on either since the car doesnt come with a turbo and all the mounts and connections for it. It can and has been done, but thats the driver/owners option there.

No, I believe the RS just cannot handle the extra compression of a turbo w/o serious modification/engine build up. There are turbo setups for it but very low boost (like 9-10PSI) due to the compression issues.
I agree with mosc...tell him to get a WRX, as the work required to get the N/A 2.5L to work would be cost prohibitive.
He has a 2007 car that's likely still under warranty. What the hell is he thinking? Does he think the only difference between his car and a WRX is a few bolt on parts he can swap over? The NA motor runs much much higher compression than the WRX motor. It is not turbo friendly. The ECU is not designed for boost control. The entire drivetrain isn't designed for that level of torque.

Trade up time...start checking the lots. A guy at work just bought a 07 aspen white STI. That bastage...I was the only one at work with a STI until now. At least it gives me another STI to look at. lol
thanks for all the information... I figured it would have been a problem due to differences in compression and it being NA. Hes not my friend, I put the parts for sale on craigslist and he was some guy who wanted to buy them. I am just merely trying to give him a answer if it will fit. This guy doesn't know what hes doing he told me that my stock wrx parts would bolt right up. Thats why I posted because I have personally turbo'd a Na car (not a 2.5rs) and know its alot more work than that. I told him well, I know your coolant lines, oil feed and return aren't there for starters so why would it just bolt right up. I told him to go on the forums and research before he did this build but he claims he did. Ill warn him and tell him it will not be easy, but if he still wants to buy my stock stuff Ill sell it to him. Not my problem if he doesn't listen LOL. Its money in my pocket so I can finish my suspension.
EDIT: Alright I just got off the phone with this guy and explained to him that it was gonna be a waste of money and he should just buy a wrx for the cost difference. He told me hes gonna do more research but hes still interested in my parts LOL... I laughed and was like alright man........
