Depending on our years and models, but on the 07 WRX, to run a 18G or VF39 nothing else needs to be up sized. The 06 and 07 WRX have bigger injectors than the STI anyways and the stock fuel pump is good enough to run either of the above. (unless the stock pump will eventually wear down faster / IDK) Problem is that if you are going to use the OTS map from COBB for the 18G it NEEDS to be a TD05. I tried to contact Forced Performance and they don't even sell the TD05 anymore.

Mosc, you know anything about this ???

Did you check out other vendors for the turbo? And the WRX doesnt flow but just a little more than the STI does. You can go ahead and also leave all that stuff in the car and let it be your limiting factor in tuning the car. You will quikly max out the stock pump, injectors and I/C with running that a 18G.

plenty of ppl have thrown VF39s on 2.5L WRX's and been pissed that they can't open the turbo up because their fuel pump can't give them any more gas. Just saying, your injectors are bigger (not huge, roughly 560cc) but it's the same crappy fuel pump

If running an AP, getting a bigger pump and injectors, the AP will not support those additions..... last time I looked into it. Are you saying a as a precautionary measure ?

it's not correct to say it won't support those additions. It just doesn't have a base map for it.

Please remember that all their maps are really base maps to begin with as well. When you throw a VF39 on there and use the cobb map, you're a long way from maximizing that turbo. It's an easy to do setup that has easy to find parts so it's no surprise there's maps out there. You shouldn't judge the maximum capability of the turbo however by commonly available base maps.
