This is a copy-paste from the add.

"I have a stock turbo for an Evo 8 MR and an aftermarket front mount intercooler sitting in my garage. I got the turbo from my buddy who had it on his car for about 10,000 miles then upgraded. He upgraded to a bigger turbo. This turbo is in outstanding shape. It is a TD05hr-16g6-9.8t."

Obviously I'm not looking to buy the IC, he said he will let the turbo go for 400.

Pass on it. It's going to be pretty involved just to make it work. You can find nice vf39 turbos all day long on Nasioc for around $500.

On a side note, I have family neer Greenville. How's the weather there?

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

Garage
16Gs work well on the WRX but not all 16Gs are bolt ons. The issue Stacy is telling you to pass on it for is the EVO's turbo layout is fairly different than the WRX so taking that turbo and shoving it on your car is not simple. It's not a "Bolt on" turbo. There are 16Gs that ARE bolt on turbos, that's just not one of em.

Exactly, the flanging is different, so, you'd need to have a custom upipe and downpipe made to make this work. Not to mention swapping water and oil lines, etc...

Weather was PERFECT today 78 degrees nice breeze!...to bad in about a 2 months it will be hot as shit and I wont even want to go outside Up Back to the turbo though....I actually asked him to send some pics and I answered my question after seeing the exhaust side flange, def not a direct bolt on and I dont want to deal with anything too involed right now...I would have bought it if it was a direct bolt on oh well! Thanks though guys. Z

NukeFusion is an unknown
Just because it is a mitsubishi turbo doesn't mean it will fit.. I dont even know about the suby turbo but an evo turbo and a DSM turbo are not alike so maybe that 18g you heard about was from a DSM just a thought.. Don't take this post for any advice.
