06 emissions question

aight i have been searching on this cause i am a little freaked out about it. i just got my full cobb system (turboback) with the catted DP. now i have been looking on a colorado emissions page and it says a few things.
1. that they check that the cat is in working order. now since i got the catted Dp will i be ok with this.
2. they say that they check the computer. now since i got the Ap v2.0 and uploaded that map for the stage 2 is that going to send up a red flag to the emissions place about it.
got this crap sucks when getting into modding cars. i just dont want to have to chance the exhaust everytime i go and get a emissions done and to re-flash the computer every time cause that cant be that good on the car to go back and forth like that a lot. can you please help me out on this so i am not freakin out about it.
if you want also to look at the colorado emissions page all i did was a yahoo search for colorado emissions testing and i got a aircarecolorado.com i think is what it was. but any help on this would be fantastic.
cant wait till all this snow is gone though so i can really let this car work since i havent been able to test out the stage 2 yet.

The exhuast should be fine since you have the catted DP. As for the AP you can't leave that installed when you go for smog since the ECU will show it's been tampered with. What you can do is revert back to stock with the AP, test the car, and then put back the stage 2 map. Also, most states don't mandate smog tests on new cars for something like 4-6 years. I know in CA a new car doesn't have to be tested until after 6 years. If it's the same in CO you'll be fine for a while.

I know that in some areas they are now checking the ECU during the smog check as part of the regular inspection. It may not be in CO yet but they are trying to make it a normal thing in all states. Chances are right now in CO and in most states it won't be an issue but give it a few years. It's the same with road side sensors for smog. These are just like the red light cams that take your pic when you bust a red light. These smog cams will be set up on the roads and if your car is polluting it will take a pic of your plate and send you a ticket as well as makes you report for a smog test. I know they are doing this in northern Ca right now as a testing ground to work out all the bugs. They are hoping to fully implement this by 2010. The point is that every year smog issues are getting tighter and tighter. Personally I plan to do only smog legal and easily removable items to my Suby. I've got enough problems to worry about with my Z's passing smog with the mods they have.
