WRX Spoiler to STI spoiler

Does anyone know if the bolt holes match up for this swap or are the holes from the factory spoiler covered up by the sti wing?? or do i need to get a whole new trunk or lots of bodywork to get rid of the visible holes? anyone know?

The STi trunk needs different holes drilled in the trunk to mount it than the regular WRX spoiler. Not huge amount of body work, I got mine installed for $100

You will have to drill new holes, but the STi spoiler will cover up the factory holes I believe.

And, $100 is WAAYYYY too much to do it. If you were local, I'd do it for free. Takes all of 30 minutes.

O well he did a good job with it. Also I don't have the paint to paint over the newly drilled holes and I don't have anything to protect under the spoiler from rusting. I think it was worth it actually, but then again I don't have the tools or any experience and the spoiler came w/ about a hundred little screws/bolts. I wish I lived in VA by you guys, then I'd have you guys all help me w/ everything on my car

Not true. You can use your stock spoiler holes.

I traded my entire trunklid with a guy near me for 30 bucks. That's a steal. Off topic but, take the rear spring out of the trunk, it closes so much nicer, smoother operation. That's all.

I LOVE my stock spoiler and think the sti is way too big and racecar looking. (this is in response to 'no one likes stock anymore)

I can't imagine either of them do much but add drag at the speeds we are using. Im not sure i believe the hype about it being functional.

I used to not like the WRX wing when I first got the car. However, over the years I have become quite attached to it and would not feel good about myself letting it go. hehe No seriously though........ I think the WRX wing is exactly that, "The WRX wing" and gives it one of its many edges over other cars.
