I used a permanent waterproof paint. It came out really nice! I got the idea from the STI carpet mats.

VANY,

what brand of paint did you use, I've always had a hard time finidng something that sticks to volcanized rubber? How is it wearing with your feet on it every day?

arcticscythe,

Honestly, I haven't used it still letting it really dries up and im on my 2nd coating, planning 1-2 more coats before using it and hopefully it will stays coz, im really happy with the results. If you think its nice in the picture, its better in actual look.

I got it on ebay it says waterproof permanent paint for rubbers and it comes in pens so, its easy to apply, you just have to be artsy or else it could be a messy job. The downside, it took awhile for the shipment to come coz its from china (what do you expect). and I should order the one from the US!

sweet,

Ill take a look and see what they have to offer. I have always had a hard time with the wear characteristics of rubber paints. ill have to place an order and see how they come out.

well done, keep us posted on how they work after a few weeks of use

sure will do!

thinking of applying a clear coat once i finished 3 or 4th coating.

by the way, make sure to check the item location (US) not the one from china, it'll take forever!

The clearing idea seems to be a good one. I'd probably clear the entire letter though so you won't be bumping the edge all the time. That should make it last a ton longer.
