Wooden Shift Knob
I was rather bored today so I decided to make a shift knob. I found some wood in my basement and started turning. I got a few nuts from lowes that were M12x1.25 (they were in the specialty nut/bolt section) and glued it in with some JB Weld. If you want more information, just ask! :D

Heres some new pictures with a new finish on it:

Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but I'm almost done making a wooden knob for my car and I was wondering what coating you used on yours. Does anybody know what coating is used on factory wood trim, im going for that kind of a look and i want it to hold up well and not yellow.

well i made it out of a piece of cocobolo which won't even take a stain. I was jus looking for something to protect and keep it lookin fresh.
