This winter will be my first with my WRX and I am wanting to put some good winter tires on it with some plain black winter rims. A friend of mine that runs a tire shop told me that it needs special rims because the WRX has an unusual offset. Does anyone have any suggestions for winter rims??
A WRX wagon would do no different then the sedan in the snow and the sedan does well.
As for winter rims, I picked up a set of '00-'01 Impreza RS rims. They are a little wider so I am running 225s. Tirerack.com is a good bet, or get a extra set of stock rims and then get some tires. I have a set of WRX rims w/ 13k on the tires. If your intrested, PM me for details.
