Wingless....

1 Attachment(s)
So I have been considering going wingless, just wondered what others thought about doing this...
Pros and cons please. I do realize that I'd have to get the trunk holes filled in and then repainted which would cost serious cash outlay since the paint color for my car is retardedly expensive now... Anyway take this pic and imagine if you will what it would look like wingless and for those of you with PS skillz go ahead and try to delete the current wing...

I've always thought they look nice wingless. I say go for it. I just think they look a little cleaner and have nice body lines.

Wingless and add a limited spoiler on it = SEX

Gotta get it painted anyways.

I just got someone that lived close to me to switch. I just did this three weeks ago. It took about an hour to swap the lids, lock mechanism and tension bars. A quick hit with the buffer and you can't tell the difference in paint at all.

I toyed with filling the holes or finding a wingless trunk and having it painted. B/C of the metallic flake the local shop said they would likely have to blend into the fenders so I was looking at about $500 on top of finding a trunk which generally go for $200.

The swap worked out perfect, he wanted a wing, I wanted wingless.

The drawback to finding someone who would wanna switch is finding someone with a SRP 02-03 WRX...

I like the limited and the knock-offs.

That blacktop aero one looks like garbage IMHO, you can see the seam on the side of it. But wingless is the only way to go also IMHO. I bought my car like that and have only considered a wing a few different times. One being the APR GT type wing, when I was single and planning on going all out with the car. And a time or two with a limited spoiler carbon wrapped to go with the lip kit I have (that I still havent installed, lol).

If money and downtime weren't issues, I'd get a regular Mines spoiler professionally molded and the trunk key hole shaved and go completely badgeless.
