I went ahead and got it tinted this past saturday. The guy saidhe did 35% on the sides and 20% on the very back.
It looks damn good.. much better than I thought. And it doesn't look "too" dark to attract a lot of attention from cops. I love it
I'll post some pics later once I can upload them somewhere.

Ok, now that my obligitory poking fun at Canadians is done, what's your suspension set up? Is that the V1 front lip?

That looks about like the ride height I'm going for, don't really want to turn my car into a complete snow plow in the winter.
I don't find it too bad in the dark or rain at all eh.. only when I am eating my donuts and dodging the moose

Yes it is the V1 front lip and the suspension is stock struts with an Eibach pro-kit. Not a bad ride at all even with the 18's on it. Much better ride than my tokico HP strut/spring combo I had on my eclipse.. that thing felt like it ran on rails even with 16's on it.

P.S. just did my koji headlight mod this weekend.. looks really nice and ties in with the tinted windows

I have an '04, and the difference is that it just says "AWD" instead of "Symmetrical AWD".
I have my windows tinted, and the "AWD" sticker is on the glass, but it isn't on the part of the glass that gets tinted. The sticker is already on a piece of glass that has a solid background.

So the answer is: no, if you get your windows tinted that sticker will not be affected at all.

Tinting goes on the inside of the glass. Your AWD sticker is on the outside, so you're safe. They usually remove the "Subaru OK" (inspected) sticker, and if you have a security system, that sticker too.

I have 15% all around, but I recommend everyone get some metallic reflectiveness in their tint. Mine is 10%. That way, it doesn't look matte, and matches the shinyness of the clear coat better. For those of you who think it's REALLY low. It's not. In fact, I caught a cute girl checking out my car as I pulled up to the BP station about 45 minutes ago. Damn, I love my tint.

The legal limit hear in washington for cars is 35% all the way around.

When i lived in VA i got pulled many times for tint, but i had 0 - 2.5% on the fronts of my other car. after a couple of those 75 dollar tickets i pulled it off and left 35% on. I think i got pulled once in a small town for 35% but never got a ticket.

So i think you'll be fine with 35% on the fronts.
