Will disconnecting my DRLs disable my high beams?

I have an 09 wrx with hids in my projectors and I hate the drls they look so ugly. But I notice when I use my high beams it uses the same lamp as the drls. If I disconnect them will i lose my high beams or is there a way to do it separately!?

Thanks guys...

On the 06-07 you could disconnect them and still have everthing run as normal. I can't see Suby changing that around.

You should be fine.

I looked on my 08 for the plug under the dash (like the pics show in the older models) & the gray & red connector by the DP; don't see a thing that resembles either 1. I did see a gray plug/ gray connector that had a yellow w/ red stripe wire attached to it, along w/ a few other wires, by the DP, but I'm not unplugging a thing till I know for sure.

Any pics of 08's or newer? I've searched here & other forums & can't find anything on newer models.

Preciate it.

The 06-07 had a plug on the passenger side firewall you just unplugged and capped/taped if you wanted to. Grey plug IIRC

On the 08+ the best way is to disconnect the DRL module. It is located in the right side wheel well under the fender. It may be necessary to remove the bumper to get to it.

Thanks Johnathan, it doesn't bother me that much to want to remove my bumper to kill my DRL's. Thanks for the info.
