Will an 06 sti hood scoop fit an 05 sti?

Can anyone confirm that an 06 sti hood scoop will fit on an 05 sti hood? Thanks

Darn, I was hoping it did, I want a lower profile scoop when I get my fm. I guess I can always go with an 05 wrx scoop, but I do like the shape and profile of the 06 scoop better.

I already have the limited rear lip spoiler . Thought about a scoopless hood, but I want to keep the scoop which imo is an iconic suby feature.

plus getting the colder air into your motor bay..even if you dont have the top mount, is always a good thing.....gets a little hot in there .

I say keep the highly coveted 04/05 STi snow shovel scoop. It's the jam

Personallyl I like the bigger scoop also. I would love to have one on my 07, and will probably eventually end up getting one.

Im not sure how good you are, or if you can find a shop to do it. But you could get an 06-07 WRX Scoop (both the WRX and the STI are the same for this year), fiberglass the holes and then put them back in the scoop so they will match up to your car. Just another thought, something to think about.

That's a good suggestion. I'd like to be able to have both scoops on hand to see what would work. Maybe someone out there has done it and will chime in.

I think they make replica scoops of most years to fit most other years.

I found this:MRT Performance - Subaru And Mitsubishi Performance Tuning Experts - Scoops & Vents But it doesnt have anything for you to "downgrade" to the 06-07 WRX. I will keep searching, and try and get ahold of my old tuner shop (even though they havent answered my last two emails). They can find some odd, off the wall stuff for the subies.
