What type of hood is on this 02?

I'm new to this site and to subaru's in general. I'm looking to buy one within the next month or so. I found this one on craigs for $9,000 o.b.o.

I'm looking for some input, i am not diggin the hood, but was wondering if anyone knew anything about it or what it would cost. the car has 134,XXX miles with a clean tittle. I also wanted to know whats the most you guys would pay for it.

here's what it looks like:
02 scooby

I was also looking at another car and wanted some input from you guys, the second car is an 02 with 80k miles that has been slightly modded. it has a tein suspension and a turbo timer, as well as wheels. The guy is asking 11k o.b.o. the only thing that worries me from buying a modded car is that its been run hard too much and thus compromised the life of the car. heres a picture:

Sorry for all the questions, i just want to make sure that I'm buying something that is reliable. thanks for the help guys.

I would defiently try to find something with lower mileage..(40-50k)and stock. See if it has any service history. The last thing you want to do is buy a car for 6k and have to dump that much right back into it. Its worth spending a little more time to find the right car....even if you have to travel to get it. As for the 02 with 134k, i think 9 grand is a little much. I would offer him 6k. Good luck with everything.

The first car, with the uber miles and high tag on it, hes asking way too much. This website calls it the Cusco GT Hood-- Cusco WRX Fiberglass GT Hood 2002 - 2003. Its actually the only hood I would swap on my car, but to each their own And if the second car only has some suspension mods, a TT and some wheels, thats not that modded (at least to me). Just keep looking, and make sure you can personally look at and test drive the car before buying it.

Thanks guys for all the input.

I've actually been looking for over 3 months, and unfortunately just about every one that I come across has 100K miles and above. So its really hard to find anything in the 40-50K range, in fact, I've only seen one but it was automatic and that's not what I'm looking for.

As for the hood, I agree to each their own, its just not my style.

I've also noticed that the asking price for an 02-03 is about $8,500 to $9,000, at least where I've been looking (craigslist and autotrader mag). And beliebe me, I've been trying to find a a car that is stock, but again where i look, those are hard to come by.

I'll continue with my search. Again, thanks a lot for the input!

Its hard sometimes to find what you are looking for. I was actually looking for either an EVO or SRT4 to go with my 07 (I know polar opposites pretty much) but my 05 just feel in my lap, well my girlfriends to be exact. Just be patient and find yourself a good deal. And good luck with it also.
