What do I need to remove the stock stereo on my 06 rex?

Like I sad, what do I need to do to remove the stock stereo?
I don't have to take the whole dash apart do I?

Anyway, any info would be much appreciated.

in my 02 the bezel around the radio up to below the cup holder just pops off.. It is held in by (4) clips.. Then the radio is held in via (6) Phillips pan head screws.. VERY EASY removal..

02 WRX.. "It's fun when it runs.. Problem is that it hardly ever does..."

Yeah, on my 06 I had to remove the shifter handle and boot assembly which exposes the two bottom screws of the bezel, but I don;t know if there are top screws or not and I don;t want to break the bezel. I can;t see any way if there were top screws to get to them.

Crap! I'm so excited to put my deck in, someone help!!!!! I'm gonna cry. lol

OK, for those who want to know, the shifter handle and bezel must come off by unscrewing the shifter knob then pulling the bezel back toward the rear of the car.

there are 2 screws on the lower side of the dash bezel to remove then it should just pull straight back since the rest IS held in by clips. Piece of cake.

Love my new deck!

It maybe a different setup in your car. In my 04 I used the pre-existing wires for my new components. I ran RCA's from the back of my deck to an amp under my seat. Then speaker wire to my exsiting speaker wires. For speaker wire, the factory gauge wire is fine for the door speakers.
