What 3 gauges?

Hey everyone, i have decided to get the clock replacement 3 gauge pod and 3 defi gauges. My question is what 3 are in your opinion the best to get? I already have a boost gauge so thats not needed. Thanks for any input!

EGT, Oil Pressure and a Wideband A/F gauge.

Do you have the stock boost gauge? If so, throw that thing as far out the window as you can and get an accurate gauge.

I had the stocker but switched for defi, steering column mounted and all like the stock one. Im looking for 3 60mm defi guauges for center clock replacement tri pod. I have a good deal on some but am curious what 3 are most needed other than boost?

EGT, Oil Temp (I like to know when the thing is fully warmed up so I can get on it), and Oil or Fuel Pressure. Does Defi even make A/F gauges?

Defi doesn't make a A/F.

I noticed you still have all the fun of mods ahead of you. Your WRX is going to be a blast to bring to life in just the way you want to!

Will it be a street rod? a track racer? rally?

One way to approach this is to start with your decisions about
how you want to drive, then -> mods -> gauges -> gauge pods.

If you start with use and end with look... it's more tight. You might wind up not needing three guages. IDK but you might feel odd about having a gauge you never make use of.

Maybe for your use you'll only need two gauges. If so, consider a replacement instrument panel bezel and a couple of 52mm Defis right in front of you (in the bottom corners of the cluster). Maybe you only need one. The left-side air vent is a 'cool' place to stick a 60mm with a custom sleeve.

The clock replacement cluster is more of an attention-grabber, though.

Are you going with the Defi-Link system? Are you wanting to refer to all your readings during a hard run or are some just for tuning and post-run review? If you took a look at the Defi-Link Display unit, what did you think about that? I got the Display and mounted it on the steering column so I can see digital mph while I've got the wheel tillted low. Other senders can be picked up there, too, to be read two at a time or for review.

It's your car to enjoy, dude, and if you want some gauges, go for it! If it were my car, I'd take that money burning in my pocket, replace the exhaust, and gauge the difference by the seat of my pants!

Thanks for all the input everyone. I want them for performance as well as looks. I want my car to be good looking, handling, clean, and fast. I will be using the defi-link. EGT and oil pressure seem to be best/most popular choices. Still need a 3rd option though?

I am a huge fan of power/amperage, especially when you start with the stereo/video upgrades or disable your alternator at the track. May not be a huge performance thing but it does not matter if your car is fast if it will not start

You're right... the new D series! Not in the Defi-Link line WRX27's looking at.
