Weak Headlights

IMO, the stock headlights are a bit weak. Does anyone know of a good replacement for the stock headlights? I just would like to have a bit more light on the road. In Germany, it is illegal to drive around with your Fog lights on, unless there is Fog, so that is out.

I've seen some projector style headlights on ebay, but I don't know if they put out more light.

Any opinions would be helpful.

I just put a set of Sylvania Silverstars in my 04 for about $37.00 and they are much brighter and look pure white compared to stock headlights. I know it's not a true hid but there great for the price. I think the part number is the same (H1ST) if it's any help.

Do they even have the sylverstars in germany? The HID will help you the most just make sure that you get like 4500k-6000k if you go higher it will be more colorful and it will not be that visable.

you could get silverstars. it wouldnt be too difficult.
depending on your budget id say get the silverstars. i have them and they really do shed some light on the subject.
if you have like 800+ USD do spend on HIDs then go that route.

Try changing the bulbs to Phillips Vision Plus or Osram Silver Stars.Sylvania Silverstars are teh suck.Little info on bulbs... http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...lbs/bulbs.html

If that doesn't work try finding some Morrette projectors.Ihave them on my car and they are by far the best upgrade i have mad to my car (besides the Hella fogs)

Hmmm cobb AP or headlights? Those are badass headlights, but $500-$600 can go a long ways otherwise.

Thanks for the info. I am going to check out these morrettes. Are there any "favorite" sites that I should check for good pricing?

You will have better luck finding them in Europe than in the USA right now. They are made in France. There has bee na shortage of them over here.Another thing that helps with the stockers is an upgraded wiring harness. It gets more voltage to the bulbs by bypassing the stock wiring system and just using it to trigger the relay. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=943432

Thanks everyone for your replies!

Thanks again dumdum,

I am going to try the cheaper route. I have already ordered the harness and lights, as per the thread, on the other site. This looks like it will be the best way to go. I should have all the components in about 1 month. I will let all know how it goes!

My buddy works at a local performance shop and he said he can get them for about $150 bucks. They probably won't last as long as the more expensive ones but you can't beat that price either way.
If you want there number let me know
