Under front seat subs

Hey guys I was at the dealership for 6 hours getting some warranty stuff done to my car. While i was there I saw a brouchure on Accessories. They had a sub woofer and amp combo that goes under the drivers seat. It's suppose to push out about 120w . Has anyone seen these? I think it would be alot better that throwing a box with two subs in the trunk.Any thoughts? I'm thinking seriuosly about ordering two and getting them installed under both front seats.

I haven't heard anything good about them just negative. Such as not alot of bass and muffled sounding. Everyone I asked said it was a waste.

I have it... yes, it's better than stock, but not worth it unless it's free. Save up your cash and invest in a real system.

Ok ...Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to keep the extra weight outta the back. Back to the drawing board for new light wieght Ideas for extra bass. At least I didn't have to waste money to find out that they suck. Thanks for saving me the trouble!

I went with 1 ten and a 5 channel amp with a custom box that goes from one end to the other just under the rear strut bar. The bass gets a little drowned out on the highway from my loud exhaust though

My turbo's fixed and a lot better =)

i guess you'd still have all the boot space with underseat setup

^ ?I was thinking that and I could save adding weight in the trunk. Maybe I'll see about still having a custom one added under the passenger seat like a jl w-0 or something.

Honestly, I have the factory sub under the passenger seat & I don't think it's half bad. I'm going to school to be an audio engineer, and I can tell you that the vast majority of aftermarket subwoofer systems are OVERKILL (and just so everyone doesn't think my opinion is bias, I installed systems in cars for 5 years, had a huge system in the last car I owned, etc.). If you want good, even response one of the under seat factory subs comes close, but I really liked your Idea of adding another one under the driver's seat as well. I think that would bring the feel of the bass up to par for sure. And like you said, save a lot of weight.

OK, I'm not looking for over the top BASS. I like an even playin field so hip hop and rock both sound good. I really save the space in my trunk and thought the would be different. Save alot wieght in the trunk area and centralize it instead. I thimk I'll get some (2) but not right this second first I need my Cobb AP.But Thanks for those latest reviews I'm looking forward to gwtting some now And did I mention how much I HATE TRUNKS THAT RATTLE Even when I was in the lowrider scene I hated that! I think these will do,especially with two!

Honestly, I ahve the facotry sub, and I think it's junk, it really doesn't add much sound at all. I have a Bazooka tube in my trunk, which has an internal amp... costed me $99, installed in a half hour, and puts out loads more sound than the facotry sub ever thought about. I hate overkill bass too, for the price though, the factory unit sucks. Grab an amplified Bazooka tube for $100, or get an aftermarket amplified underseat sub.

yes the factory one sucks. aftermarket underseat is the way to go if you are buying one dont want an overkill and want trunk space unchanged!
