Question Turbo Timer Install Question, Please Help

Hi everyone,

Me and a friend installed a HKS Type-0 Turbo Timer to my wrx tonight. The whole process was pretty straight forward, and the timer works great, but I just have one question.

Which wire do i need to cut, or splice to get the keyless entry remote to work while the timer is counting down and the car is on?

I've read up and all i was able to find is some limited info for the 2002-2003 wrx. It said I needed to cut a dark green wire with black stripes that is coming from the unit directly above the fuse panel. I have a 2005, so I wanted to know if this would be the same colored wire, and also, how would (if at all) the factory car alarm be affected by cutting this wire? This info might also be wrong, I just want to be able to lock the doors with my remote while the timer counts down.

Other than this the timer works fine, and i'd be happy to answer any questions about the install or mounting if anyone has them.

Thanks in advance!

thanks a ton, so its pretty much safe to assume that the dark green with black stripe wire for keyless entry on the 02 wrx is the same as the wire i need to clip for the 05?

Yeah. There is also a grey wire right by the parking brake that needs to be cut. Its in the security module box, it kills the shock sensor. Otherwise your alarm would go off since the car would still be on.
