I think as long as you dont draw attention to yourself, that they wont even pay attention to your lights. And like you said, there are certain cars that come with that look from the factory. Best of luck with it.

Done some googling and apparently...

"DOT states that you must have red color in the taillights to the side and the rear so that people can identify th front vs the rear of your vehicle for say silver or black vehicles"

just for future refence

Nightshades spray tint is good stuff if you know what your doing. Its basically spray paint but is transparent. Although it dries darker then when you apply it you have to watch out and also make sure you tint them both the same darkness! I've used this on all my cars and it comes out looking good. Especially if you clearcoat and wetsand, it looks awesome. I wax mine everytime i wax the car and they come out very shiny almost like a lay on tint.

I've used nightshades it looked kinda purple i thought. But I was satisfied. It ended up comin off when I layed another coat on after a few months. It was a mess but my mistake. I'm thinkin about doin it again with the wet sanding and the wax might come out better for my black car.

Question 2009 Smoked tail light troubles

Hey I have a 2009 wrx sedan. Ive been looking everywhere to tint my tail lights. Do I have to paint them or is there a laminate or sticker light application for 2009 sedans?

Lamin-X: Subaru WRX Impreza Sedan (2008, 2009, 2010) Tail Light Covers has several shades of tail light tint film to choose from for 08+ Imprezas
