the reason sun roofs get leaks in them is because the roof is a major structural support of the entire car.... if you take out the metal and put a hole in the roof it will weekin the entire car, and the twisting of the car is what causes the leaks.... But if you do it right and put connectors under the car like auto makers do when they make a convertible than that will help make up for the loss in the structure.... i know that there a few companies like parrin that make these items....

I know that 04 was the first year sunroofs were offered, they were never offered with the bug eyes. I was also think of putting one in mine as well, but after hearing about the support brace being cut out, I doubt that I will get one.

Well...looks like if you want a sunroof you should do a roll cage too

^^very good idea...you could also get one of those pop up sunroofs that will fit in between the braces.
