Sun roofs are definatley worth it. It would be nice if you got one that is bigger then the stock one if it is possible. Plus i would like to have rear seats that fold down so that I can throw my snowboard back there. So far i have fit 3 snowboards and a pair of skis through that lil tiney hole.

If I'm not mistaken only the seats in the Wagons fold down. The Sedan seats do not fold across the entire Impreza line. If they had them for the STi they'd offer them in all trim levels of the Impreza. (It would actually be cheaper to make it standard) Sorry but I'm pretty sure you are out of luck unless you have the Wagon for folding seats.

No i am pretty sure i heard that the STI seats fold down i may be wrong and i defenitely see your point, but i am still interested to see if i can get soem seats that fold.

I just went to Subaru website to confirm. They do not list it as afeature anywhere. If you go to configure an STi click the view window sticker button. It is not listed there. No folding rear seats.

So you're going to order a sunroof? Who is going to install it?

There's a shop in Virginia Beach that does them, but I dont think you want to drive to Virginia for that. Just ask around body shops, they usually do it, and its expensive.

STI seats do not fold down. I wouldn't recommend an aftermarket sunroof either. FYI, I work at Subaru dealership.

What's wrong with after-market sunroofs, out of curiosity. One of the members on WRX Fanatics has one, and it looks nice and clean and he said there werent any problems with it.

There are no problems now while it's brand new. They leak with age and the hole they cut for it tends to cause rust perforation quicker.

LAME

There are not any problems if you get it done by a qualified shop. A local ASC certified company did sunroofs in two of our cars, and we have had one for over 15 years without the first leak or rust spot.

I am going to have my subaru dealership do it with a warranty and all that stuff!!

Cosmo 03-31-2004 02:12 PM

I personally would have a reputable aftermarket company do it. They have more experience, better materials and equipment, and better prices than a dealership. All of them that I know of will guarantee their work for the life of your car as well.
