Sub and Amp

Alright I have a 2 Ohm DVC Sub and a mono amp that is 400 at 4 ohms and 800 at 2 ohms. How do i set the amp to power at 2 ohms with the DVC sub also at 2 ohms

If you have a 2 ohm DVC sub, you have to wire up both coils. You can wire in parallel which would drop you to 1 ohm. You dont want to do that cause your amp chances are isn't 1 ohm stable. If you wire a 2 ohm DVC sub in series, you would wire it to 4 ohm's, which means you amp will only put out 400 watts instead of 800 at 2 ohm's. My recomendation would be if at all possible, return the 2 ohm DVC sub for a 4 ohm DVC sub, because you can wire a 4 ohm DVC sub to two ohms. Hope i didn't confuse you.

nah i ended up figuring this out myself the hard way lol. Im just gunna sell the sub and box i already have and i have a 4ohm w/ bandpass otw

If anybody wants to buy a DVC 2 Ohm Power Acoutic 800rms 12in sub with a Ported box for 150$ let me know
