If you have a 2 ohm DVC sub, you have to wire up both coils. You can wire in parallel which would drop you to 1 ohm. You dont want to do that cause your amp chances are isn't 1 ohm stable. If you wire a 2 ohm DVC sub in series, you would wire it to 4 ohm's, which means you amp will only put out 400 watts instead of 800 at 2 ohm's. My recomendation would be if at all possible, return the 2 ohm DVC sub for a 4 ohm DVC sub, because you can wire a 4 ohm DVC sub to two ohms. Hope i didn't confuse you.
