I say, not an STI, then no STI badges allowed.

theres a guy in reno that has a lancer and has it tricked out and it looks exactly like an evo mr but it is still basically stock engine no turbo just intake and exhaust. its stupid IMO, but the guys a tool with or without his car. if you really want an evo or an sti save for a little while longer and buy one. show some discipline.

an STi isnt even that much better tho i duno why you would want to do it, you can be faster than one with only a couple mods

an sti is a lot better..... 6 speed tranny that is basically bombproof. excellent suspension setup, better brakes. you may throw a few mods on a stock wrx and beat a stock sti in a straight line but the sti is just a tighter more solid car. and for us wrx owners from 05 and before. we havea 2.0l engine and the sti has a 2.5l engine.

the sti is a more solid car.

My problem is all the Honda, mitsu, nissan, etc,etc will race an "STI" and beat it then go brag to everyone that they beat an STI, when in reality they beat a WRX.

Personally I would not put any STI logos or stickers. It doesn't bother me if someone has STI foglight covers but I don't see the need to have any other badges.

only someone who's never driven one (i mean "driven" not "test drove") and only cares about strait line speed would say that. And if you only care about strait line speed in a awd car, you are truly handicapped.

I hear that "my wrx can beat your STi" crap all the time. All that means is they spent more on mods than me. it'll take a turbo, EM, injectors, ic, tbe, fuel pump, etc to get to 300whp for a WRX. I can do it with a Downpipe and EM. I'm sorry if this hurts the pride of WRX owners but it's the truth. STi stickers are fine on a WRX if it has STi stuff on it, but put them in places that don't try to suggest that it's an STi. It doesn't bother me that much either way. If a person can't tell a wrx from an sti without looking at badges, they probably don't know the difference anyway.
