Sti Splitter nozzel thing...

I have an 05 WRX and just purchased a Sti scoop and splitter. The new splitter has a nozzel on it. What is that for? Is it important for my application?
Thanks

The nozzle is for the water sprayer (When you hook it up).

Unless your spraying chilled water your not going to be lowering the temp of the I/C and even if you were it'd still be negligible maybe 1-2*F IAT. Hence why aftermarket I/C cooling kits use N2O and the invention of Meth Injection

I get the Meth idea. And the CO2 cooling in additon to the water sprayer would help a bit more.... Maybe I just like the idea down here....... In HELL like temps. Thanks Matt

Garage
I have tested the water sprayer in some detail. It's indeed completely useless. It's main purpose seemed to be demonstrating to people that no, I was not actually making shit up and my car had a water sprayer for the intercooler that actually sprayed water.

When I still had the EVO I did a few runs with the I/C sprayer on and off and I logged lower IAT's with it off (used ambient temp water)

and N2O is far better than CO2 for cooling purposes as liquid N2O is 20*F cooler than liquid CO2, with my NX Ntercooler kit I've actually formed ice on my IC in 95*F Florida weather after a nice 2-4 pull on the interstate

Nice to know that No2 works better. Isn't No2 a bit more expensive than Co2 though?

Not too sure, I know my costs 45 to fill up once every six weeks or so if I'm daily driving the car durring summer, I've got the nitrous controller in the ECU not set to turn on unless IATs are over 100*F under full throttle

That's quite a bit more than Co2. Thanks for the lesson.
