Also, one is cheap and the other is expensive. You get what you pay for.

Do they make a shifter trim for the WRX? Meaning instead of the STi being there would be WRX.

Thanks

I'm clueless.

FWIW, the STi replica trims I've seen look like crap. One of my friends has the Autospeed one and is pretty happy with it, even through one of the screws stripped out since they just screw into the plastic. IMHO the AutoSpeed one looks "unfinished". The surface is really grainy. Kind of looks like raw metal, I guess.

I got the one for my '02 WRX from Dropped Clutch (http://www.droppedclutch.com ). I really liked it. Great quality, nice finish, neat two piece design. Nice install instructions too. But I sold my 02 and they don't make one for the 05 yet, so I might be stuck with having to buy the STi one.

Don't know for sure that the trim is different, but the console certainly is, from that I assumed that the old trim styles wouldn't fit the new console design.

I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see if the 04 STi and 05 STi trim have different part numbers and report back.

I know the one from www.droppedclutch.com fits the 04s and doesn't have any logos. The autospeed one probably fits too, the console didn't change from 03 to 04.

Call Autospeed and see if they say it will fit the 04s. I'd bet my bank account that it will because I'd also bet my bank account that the shift boot area for the 02-03s is the same as 04s.
