I haven't seen that happen yet, but I would agree with you on that one. I rule with my WRX is that no STi part goes on my car unless it makes it run better or faster.

I can see what your saying, but if you have alot of STI parts and you have the same if not more power and since the first STI's came with the 2.0 motor it's almost like being true JDM, IMO. I have the STI fog light covers so that might put me in your catagory even though I'm not trying to say I have a STI, I just wanted the covers to get rid of the fog lights, besides it makes me more areodynamic

My turbo's fixed and a lot better =)

It doesn't really bother me, it's not my car. I prefer no badging at all, but that's just me.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

If the car can back it up, why not. As for STi parts, I kinda disagree. My goal isn't trying to look like an STi, but they do have some nice visual pieces. I love my STi scoop, and rims. I thought of it this way. I got a high quality rim made by BBS 17x7.5", forged, and weighing in only 16.5lbs which would cost $2700-$3000 at the dealer, I paid $1k.

It actually kinda upsets me when people refer it to as an STi, or think it is. It's NOT. I had to work for my power. No offense to you STi guys

I have the STi hoodscoop and STi wing. I hate the STi wing now and I want to get rid of it. I mean I wish I had an STi and all, but I didn't intend for it to look like an STi, I just though the STi wing was the only one that looks good on the car, and I still believe that. I want my wingless back, now that I got wheels, STi scoop, cleared headlights, debadged rear, debadged front, the car would look badass without the STi wing, at least IMO.

Well, STi is also a "tuner company" by Subaru. Almost like using a decal by HKS or Perrin... only fancier.

I agree as stated before, no badging. But also STI is a tuner company so if you have the decals or other STI parts its not bad. But I do not like the STI "look alikes".

STI is to subaru as SVT is to ford, or SPG to audi

Subaru Technica International

i would say its a tuner group as much as a special department of subaru
