Shift knob opinions?

Im looking for a new shift knob and kinda stuck between a few, the cobb knob but there extremely light, TWM m1 abram in flat black, or momo counter weight.. Any suggestions? And also does anyone have the DEFI triple gauge pod in replacement of the clock??

I have the Cobb shift knob and love how it feels and looks in the car. But I also got mine for free my my tuner. None the less its a great piece.

Is shift knob weight really a consideration given it's attached to a lever and transmission? I think you should get whatever you think looks nice and is comfortable for your hand. I am partial to a nice polished white or black sphere.

Actually a heavier shift knob makes for a more solid and easier shift.

Yeah it's actually surprising how much better a heavier knob makes the shift feel. Not a great comparison, but my uncle put a short shifter in his 09 mustang GT with a heavy cue ball knob, compared to my short shifter with stock knob. His is a lot crisper and wants to be thrown in gear since the extra weight up top gives it a lot more momentum. I need to get a heavier knob for mine now, probably COBB. Josh- is it heavier than stock?

Cobb is lighter than stock, not sure by how much. If I can find my stock knob I can take it to work and weigh them. But I know for a fact when I changed them you could feel the difference between the two. I dont know how the stock knob feels in the 08-09 WRX, but I know the Cobb one is MUCH more comfortable in my hand.

The cobb know is only 117g which is extremely light, being stock is around 150. The TWM knobs are what im leaning towards as my brother has the M1 abram from them and it feels awesome. The M1 is around 445g, so quite a bit heavier from stock!Thumbs Up
