Seibon Cf Hood/trunklid

so i bought myself a Seibon cf hood and trunk lid .... open it up looks great, smells like A$$ but whatever ... resin stinks no big deal ... put it on the car, trunk lid has 10mm screws instead of the stock 12mm ! so the the screws dont even fit the damn lid ... so that cant be put on, fitment im not sure cause it wont bolt on .... HOOD ... wel theres a 1/4 gap on each side of the thing .... not to mention the hood latch has the same kinda fitment problem as the trunklid ... stock screws are too big !! what am i gunna do ?!

You can do 2 things.

1. Send them back.
2. Get different screws.

I would try 2. If that doesn't work, send the stuff back.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

well i got everything on, the hood fits pretty good, had to drill out the fenders and push em in a bit but it looks great, just the damn windshield washer nozzles dont fit, so i dont know if stock ones are just big or what ... any ideas ?

trunk lid on the other had has a slight fitment issue, the latch doesnt catch at all no matter what i do, anyone have this problem ? it looks like it needs to be brought down a bit like an 1" or maybe lil more but im not sure ...

Doesn't the trunklid use all of the factory hardware? Is it adjustable?

no i needed way smaller screws for it but the lock is factory, it just doesnt latch i dont know why ! and even on the bottom of the trunk lid, the corners, they are kinda bent in, i mean not BENT but they go in towards the car too much and rub against the back bumper when i close it

The trunk latch should have some adjustment to it, just loosen the bolts and try to move it around

My turbo's fixed and a lot better =)

I got myself a Seibon hood and it fit perfectly, squirters and all. I'm interested in the trunk lid...a little worried now about how it'll fit, but i'll let you all know.

Hmm... I'd been thinking about their trunk lid ever since someone tried to steal the wing off mine (and scratched it up in the process) but I guess I'll just go with a VIS now after hearing that...

A couple of weeks ago when I was at the beach. The Myrtle Beach Police didn't want to help since I was on private property, and they said they could possibly get an investigator to look at it but it would be 36-48 hours until he could get there, and I noticed it when I was leaving to come back home.

So, for now, I'm wingless. Put some clear nail polish over the scratches, and some vinyl over the holes where the wing was mounted. Thinking seriously about taking the trunk lid to a body shop and having them fill in the holes and paint the whole thing.

They actually got away with the wing? or did you just decide to leave it off? That sucks man. People are stupid and selfish. The amount of curitosy we give to people in general circumstances, they show none of it back, or even take advantage.
