Seat Wear and Tear??

On my 2004 WRX the stock seats with the funky mesh look are already showing some signs of wear. Not alot of wear but noticeable. I do ont expect this on a one year old car with less than 20K.

Has anyone else expercienced this problem? Any thoughts on masking the wear/repairing tricks etc??

You can buy seat covers and put them over the stockers.

I have almost 50k miles on my '03 seats, and no visible wear. Perhaps the '04's are made of inferior material? But, that is probably something Subaru will warranty.

I have an 03 and at approx 28K miles i took it in and had them replace the seat cover under warranty. It was all frayed. I think it may have been from the velcro things on my shorts but IDK. They gave me no trouble with it at all. They ordered the part and called me when they got it in.

Loof at you clothing make sure you don't have something unusually abrasive where the wear is showing but go get it replaced under warranty.

Mine was frayed on the right side of the bottom part of the seat. Found out it was the velcro on my pants where I put my wallet. This started like a month after having the car.
