Seat Harness

So I am wanting to get a harness for my car.
I know if it isn't set up right it can cause more damage to me then good.
Well I herd there is a way to set up a harness to work with my stock seats.
I have been looking for stickies on this but haven't been able to find any.
Can someone please direct me on where to find this or help me on doing this?

There is a way...but normally you need a roll cage or a bar behind the front seats and in front of the rear seats installed. My tuner has welded in that bar for a 5 point harness. I might be mistaken...but, I think a 3 point harness requires less fab.

My wife won't let me go to the track or to the drag unless I have a harness, and well I can't afford aftermarket seats yet, but have a great offer on some free harness set.

It's going to kill the functionality of the rear seats...but it can be done. Unless you can figure out a way to secure it to something else. I'd have to ask him again...but, I knew they did it before.

I was thinking about doing a low pro bar right at the bottom of the seat bolted to the car to hook the harness to, it's just how to run the harness so the top two straps stay put

Can't you bolt the two side harnesses to the seatbelt attach point with a longer bolt? Then you could fab a metal bar to go across the front bottom of the seat to attach the 5th point to. There are a few bar harnesses that bolt up to the top seatbelt points and to the bottom points. Turmic is right, no one can ride in the back seat with the bar in. Some setups can be removed fairly quickly to allow you to have a harness bar and the use of your rear seats. I def want to see your final product though!

Something like this you're looking at probably, would be pretty easy to install.

Yeah see I am wanting something more low pro then that going down to the bottom of the seat, and still having an issue on keeping the top two harness straps separated when going threw the center slot on the top of the seat! My issue is the pinch front the harness when it gets installed

Could you rig something up that connects to the carseat hardpoints on the back deck? Them you wouldn't need a bar

Hmmm, do you want to have the harness/harness bar in the car and use the back seats at the same time? That'll be tricky. Do you need the use of all the rear seats or just one side?
