Rolling fenders?

Was wondering how much room you actually gain when you roll your fenders. I will be getting my front and rear rolled on my 06 Wrx tr it is on tanabe gf210. And will be running a 18x8.5 +42 in the future and was wondering what is the widest tire I can run safely with this setup. What everyone running on there set up ?

Thanks guys

2007 WRX
17x9 +42 DPTs
245/40/17 Star Specs
BC BR coilovers w/ rear camber plates
-1.4 front camber
-1.7 rear camber
front and rear fenders rolled and pulled

It's sort of hard to tell from the rear, but if you look at the front, you can see how much extra room I have to play around with based on the edge of the plastic fender liner. So far, I have had no rubbing issues

I'm 90% sure that my 18x8.5 +42 with 235/40/18 will fit okay with my fenders being rolled just one of those things I don't wanna do trial and error. Just lowered on springs worse case scenario I put stock springs back on.

I had the same except +36, and I rubbed just s tad in the back without rolling. Not enough for me to care tho. But you should be fine with what you got.

Guy that lives by me has a fender roller and charges 25 a fender or 80 for everything. He's done a bunch of my friends. Will be going up to him to get all 4 rolled. He works in a body shop as well.

Local MS3 guy does em for free to us NATOR members.... DOH!!!

Only warning I have is to make sure your car has been sitting in the sun most if not ALL day prior to the rolling. Regardless if they use a heatgun or whatever.

Why should it have to be sitting in the sun for a long time prior?

Helps warm the paint up (at least in our sun).... Pretty sure we share the same sun... FOL.

When they get started on it, they/he/she will use a heatgun..... and all this does is START the heatup process.... Keeping it warm for the longhaul will ensure the paint AND metal are warm/hot.

YOUR fenders do not have as much IF any additive (flex agent) to help with "flexibility".

Randy knows more about this.

Ayyyy-yoooooooo @Blaze2099
