Rear View Mirror Question

Hi everyone, I have a stock interior 2007 WRX TR with a plain old rearview mirror. I am wondering how simple or complicated it would be to instal the STI mirror that automatically dims and has the controls in it. Has anyone done this already? Any advice or ideas?
Thanks in advance everyone

i have a 2004 wrx and it has an auto dimming mirror. it was an option for wrx starting 04. I would try asking your dealership and seeing if its possible to buy one from them.

I definitely wouldn't go to the dealership for that item. Search around online - I've seen them advertised in several different places and I'd be willing to bet they're cheaper there than if you were to buy them through the dealer.

Here's how to install one on an 08+ WRX: '08-'09 WRX Auto Dimming mirror /w compass install - NASIOC

I'm sure it's a similar procedure for the 02-07 models...

yes, the searching on the internent is the best and fast way for the people to get something. not mention to the rear view mirror camera, most of the things are ok, SnowWhite, hope you can get your thing down.

The install is a piece of cake, as all cars have the wiring pigtail already in place for it. Just make sure to get the little piece of plastic trim that hides the wires (against the glass)
