I have never seen a WRX with rain guards, then again I had never seen a WRX with a bug deflector until last week. You can check this site.
Rain Guards - NASIOC
I just googled WRX rain gaurd and found a few pics.
I also found them for sale here
Subaru JDM Rainguard Sets - SO JDM
but they are pretty pricey at $199.

A member on here, Vew, has the JDM guards on his 04/05. I believe there is a write up on install on here also.

there are some close up pics in this thread:

and here is Vew's writeup with more pictures:

JDM Rain Visor Install

I have these installed (on an '02) and personally, I think they are hardly noticeable unless you are standing within 5 feet of the car (and at a proper angle). I love being able to have the windows cracked when it is raining (without getting the inside of the door wet).

AQ Motorsports|Harman Motive - Subaru, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW & Mazda Performance Tuning Specialists - JDM Rain Guard Set
link.

but how in the heck do they stay up there? all the ones i've seen are either taped on the outside of the door or upp in the window track at the top.

i've never seen an impreza with a full window frame.

i did see a fugly 80's mustang with a full front bug deflector. no joke, from hood to below the bumper, giant peice of shaped plastic to makes sure that it doesn't get scratched.....

sometimes people are a little protective....

They run along the black part that is just above the doors. They are affixed with double sided tape (very strong) and there are 5 or 6 clips to secure the visors on each side. The clips are attached to the body underneath the door jamb rubber. It is very secure in my opinion.
