Is it possible to polish brake rotors without any sort of lathe or anything? I want my brakes to look nice but I dont want to spend money on rotors that arnt broken. Can I just use cleaner, sandpaper or something and some polish to get all the rust off?
Well I am planning on painting the calipers. But the rotor around the hub area has this rust color. Im guessing some cleaner and sandpaper will do it just fine?
I honestly prefer to use sand paper. Something about using my hands and being able to feel what Im doing and being able to keep a better eye on it. But either should work just fine. Just dont use a low grit sandpaper (like something that is really rough or harsh).
Alright I just used really heavy cleaner and spray painted the discs black were the brakes dont rub...well tried to...it looks really good now with the gold brake calipers.
