Haha, yeah....... that was my friend. He is a little weird... can't hold a job, hmmm wonder why. That was my fault for not taking one picture with him and one without. The shot of the WRX was just so perfect on the beach at that time of day/lighting.

The Grill is a Billet Aluminum purchased from someone on e bay years ago. There was a company selling them, but I have no idea if they still sell or even if they are still around. The Grill is simply placed over the old grill with the Emblem taken off and held on by tie wraps placed within the slats, so that you can't see them. The bottom piece is held in place by riveted eye-holes and then again tie-wrapped inside the slats. The set-up has held that way for years. It adds a great look to the car.

Thank you for your compliments. Sorry about my fruity friend.

Nice grills everybody. What do you guys think about billet grills on a wrx? I found a link for a set for sale on ebay. I'm considering getting this for my 05 Wagon when i get it this month. Check it out:

Well, that's the same billet grill I have on my WRX, so obviously I like it very much. Only difference between that and the one on my car is the color. Mine is painted black.

I have a billet grill on my navigator. I really like the look personally. It looks like the version for the WRX is a quick and easy install. I was thinking about getting that and one of the Japanese "I" style logos for the grill.

You'll have to rig something up to mount the badge over that billet grill.

The top portion is very simple to install. the bottom requires that you drill holes and then rivet into place these eye holes which will accept the tie straps to hold the grill in place. As long as you have a drill and a rivet gun, you'll be fine. (Requires 2 people to line up the grill in order to mark the bumper)

Hmmm a rivet gun. Don't have one of those yet. It could be an oppurtunity to buy yet another tool to add to my collection though
