Paid 25,565 out the door. Brand new 2013 wrx satin pearl white. I had to wait for it to get off the boat with 7 miles on the odometer. I'm financing it through my credit union at 1.49% so it may as well be cash.
For 10k I would probably do a push button power upgrade. That way it can be powerful without sacrificing reliability and with an access port its as easy as pushing real time map.
I would swap the hoses for red samcos, more effecient radiator, perrin inlet, process west intercooler, Cobb bpv, add a grimmspeed mc brace, injectors pump and plugs, i would run a catted turbo back from cobb cause i love the sound and have my tuner run 2 tunes. The first around 16 psi for daily driving and the second near the max for the oe turbo.
If it didn't have to be in the engine bay i would do a brake kit with slotted rotors and ss lines, an adjustable kartboy shift kit and probably a decent stereo.
Then I would put the leftover cash towards the loan. I still have 18500 to pay off: )
Duh, that's what good credit and credit cards are for. Cash back on everything, $0 to transfer the balance, 0% interest for 15 months. I made out like a bandit! >
How much did you pay? Paid 7,000 $CAN cash for it.
Leased an '09 STi prior, but that was a super-expensive way to own expecially when you consider the entry and exit costs which were all regret.
Also do you have a wrx or sti '04 WRX
Fun question if you had 10k to spend on your engine what mods would you do?
1. STi Strut/Spring Kit 2004 STi, 04-07 RS/WRX (or equivalent)
Upgrades are generally not a good financial investment, as you can't recover it if you sell or if it gets wrecked. That being said, I'm sure I'm 20 $k into this auto with the new built motor. *sigh*
I paid 18k for mine with 68k miles and financed. If I had 10k to spend on the engine I would get forged internals and upgrade the turbo/injectors/pump/intercooler.
Bought my 05 Wrx 118k miles in February financed 13k plus fees and interest total bout 18k. But I'm Cali based so everything's more expensive here. Lol Aftermaket I take and exhaust but not sure what exhaust is but it's SS and 3" everything else stock.
10k would convert to e85 access port and turbo and exhaust upgrade with full tune.
$3740 after tax, 328,000km 2002 bugeye wagon 4EAT, paid in full. one previous owner who bought the car on June 1st 2001. first day they went on sale in north america. its a long shot but im trying to find out if it was the first one delivered or maybe even the first one off the north american production line.
if i had 10k i would stuff an EZ36 into my wagon
